Genesis10 is currently seeking an Engineering Project Manager for a 12-month contract to hire position with a leading client in Versailles , OH. This position will be on-site 4 days per week. Candidates must be a USC or Green Card Holder and able to work on a W2 basis with Genesis10 Job Description: An Engineering professional with extensive product development experience to work as a member of the Research and Development team. The Sr. Engineering Project Manager's responsibilities will be to plan and execute development activities in accordance with corporate procedures, to assure the project deliverables are completed accurately, on time and within budget. Initiate, plan, schedule, direct and execute one or multiple projects at a time, including highly complex cross-functional projects or programs. This role is an individual contributor role working within a cross-functional team toward a common goal. Candidates will also be responsible for communicating project status and updates to management levels. Job Duties: Work with functional engineering, advanced sourcing, advanced quality, manufacturing, product management, and other functions to successfully complete engineering projects that meet the project budget, project scope, project timeline, and product cost. Work with product management on customer research to deeply understand customer needs. Ensure proper customer knowledge and capabilities exists on the team to satisfy customer needs. Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress the project. Develop and manage project plans, project strategy, resources, WBS, detailed schedule, budget, risk register, and contingency plans. Lead a cross-functional team in the development of a risk-based schedule. Collaborate with teammates to identify, prioritize, and schedule critical project milestones and deliverables. Coordinate project activities and teammates to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Lead and manage cross-functional project meetings at set cadences. Ensure timelines are reviewed with teammates and appropriate action items are taken and driven to closure. Prepare and present project status reports, facilitate technical meetings, and design reviews. Manage technical and project risk within the project including adequate risk mitigation efforts and effectively issue escalation. Confer with project and functional personnel to resolve problems. Manage and document scope changes from original specifications and the impact to timelines, resources, and/or project & product costs. Develop and maintain technical and project documentation. Maintain a list of key decisions and their impact that are made during the life of the project. Provide functional managers with feedback and development opportunities for those participating on development teams. Requirements: Bachelor degree in Engineering, Quality, Project Management or similar. Applicable certification preferred (PMI) but not required. Ten years experience in managing product development projects in a highly regulated environment (medical devices, FDA regulated industry) preferred. Program leadership roles either as a technical lead or project manager preferred. Experience in all phases of product development from concept to launch preferred. Experience in developing products designed for manufacturability – background and/or functional knowledge in manufacturing operations preferred. Excellent communication skills. Ability to express technical and program issues in a succinct and clear manner to a variety of audiences (ability to tailor the message to the audience). Advanced ability to influence positive outcomes to meet goals at an organizational level. Extensive knowledge of product development process, requirements, and regulatory processes. Highly detail oriented, organized, and organizationally knowledgeable. Proficient in MS Office Suite of tools including Microsoft Project Has led multiple complex electromechanical projects within engineering or a closely related field. Has multiple experiences in managing external development resources. Highly skilled in conflict resolution. Multidisciplinary product development experience (understanding of electromechanical, embedded systems and software) preferred.
