As an Associate Sourcing Manager – Sustainable Product Engineering you will play a significant role in driving our company's commitment to sustainability by optimizing material usage in our products with design for manufacturing (DFM) techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes. You will be supporting the development of internal best practices with our Product Design teams and will be communicating with suppliers to implement proposed efficiencies. Your knowledge and dedication will be essential in supporting our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our products through responsible sourcing and design engineering practices.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate multi-functional team efforts in development and connect with suppliers to see new product development through from concept to shipment.
  • Evaluate existing product to identify opportunities for improved efficiency in material usage.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate sustainable design principles and develop innovative solutions that minimize material usage while maintaining product integrity and performance.
  • Implement DFM principles to ensure that product designs are efficient, easily manufacturable, and meet quality and safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain design guidelines and standard methodologies that promote material efficiency in product development and manufacturing.
  • Validate the performance, durability, and manufacturability of optimized product designs.
  • Collaborate with the internal sustainability team to track and report key performance indicators as they contribute to the company's overall sustainability initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in product development and/or design for manufacturing (DFM). Toy industry experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially plastic molding techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions for material optimization and efficient manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work optimally with multi-functional teams and external partners.
  • A passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental impact through product engineering and design optimization.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

This position is only available on-site in Kissimmee, Florida and will be in-office 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, with flexibility on Fridays.  Relocation assistance is available.
