We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher for a high school in Boston, MA. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
• Evaluate and assess student progress against instructional objectives.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to student needs.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Manage and provide instruction for a caseload of students in a virtual environment.

Requirements:

• Must possess a DESE license and Special Education (SPed) license for high school.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in special education.
• Strong understanding of special education best practices and legal requirements.
• Proficient in using technology to provide and support instruction.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Must have or be willing to obtain liability insurance upon offer.

Compensation:

• Competitive weekly pay ranging from $30 to $36 per hour, based on experience.
• This is a 1099 position for the remaining of the school year, with the option to renew.

Interview Process:

• The selection process will begin with a phone screening with me, followed by a Zoom interview with the school director. A potential offer will be extended to successful candidates.
