Med Tech

Full Time and Part Time | All Shifts

** Pay rate between $17.31-19.43/hour ** (based on experience)

At our 5-Star Senior Care Community located in Pittsford, NY - Glenmere provides the very best assistant for our residents' daily needs, while also appealing to their cultivated sides. Our residents are safe, secure, and truly enjoy each day to its fullest.

The Med Tech will foster independence and promote socialization for each resident of the Enriched Housing Program. The Med Tech assists residents with medication, activities of daily living, housekeeping duties as indicated by the Resident's Individual Service Plan.

Requirements for a Glenmere Med Tech:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year experience working in assisted living facility assisting residents with daily living activities preferred.
  • HHA, PCA, medication technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities for a Glenmere Med Tech:

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living at all levels including Assisted, Enhanced, and Special Needs Levels of Care.
  • Assist residents with medication as ordered by their physician.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation/records of services performed.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties IE: trash removal, laundry, bed making.
  • Consult/report to nurse supervisor Resident's needs and any changes in Resident's status.
  • Attend and participate in any mandatory meetings and in-services and additional training.
  • Serve between meal and bedtime snacks as needed.
  • Assist the LPN Supervisor and/or Shift Supervisor, Nurse Manager and/or Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident care services, in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Community.
  • Participate in and receives the shift report upon reporting for duty.
  • Weigh and measure residents as instructed.
  • Assist with dining services during mealtimes.
