Assistant Property Manager

MHA seeks an enthusiastic, career minded, self-motivated individual to serve as Assistant Property Manager for an affordable housing community. Section 8 program experience is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Property Manager with daily operations, collaborate with the site team and residents, and facilitate on-site communication to create and strengthen a healthy community.
• Assist with tenant certifications and the leasing process from initial application to move-in, while following all fair housing, local landlord, and tenant laws and regulations.
• Process third party verifications, to include following up with employers.
• Review invoice coding, maintain resident accounts receivable ledgers, and post rents and deposits timely and accurately.
• Assist with rent collection, bank deposits, and receipt processing.
• Respond to customer service requests and ensure timely and satisfactory completion.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree
• One to two years of experience in general office and public contact work, preferably in the housing or social service field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Valid Georgia driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and acceptable driving record
• Affordable housing, Yardi Voyager and/or Section 8 programming (project-based and new construction) experience preferred.
• Certified Occupancy Specialist and/or Accredited Residential Manager certification is a plus.

Salary Starting range based on experience: $16.00 - $18.00
