JOB SUMMARY

Calero is looking for an Associate Data Solutions Analyst to work out of the Rochester, NY office. Reporting to the VP, Technical Operations, the Associate Data Solutions Analyst is responsible for supporting our global internal teams to create and enhance data visualizations across different platforms and services. Calero generates and consumes large amounts of data across multiple platforms, including our own SaaS solutions. Combining data sets to generate insight and provide up-to-date information for our teams to make fact-based decisions is critical to many of our business processes.

You will develop a strong understanding of our global platforms and assist with dataset change requests used for business reporting. To be successful in the role you should have working experience in Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce Reporting, be comfortable in building queries in these applications and able to develop dashboard analytics to assist with end user requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a technical understanding of our 3rd party SaaS application data fields and data flows
  • Assist with the development of reports and dashboards across different platforms
  • Build and maintain reliable, efficient, and consumable data solutions
  • Monitor data connectors to improve data quality. Identify and resolve discrepancies to prevent inaccurate reporting.
  • Work with our DBA’s to develop knowledge of the Calero platform database structures, query creation and improve the quality of data without compromising security.
  • Maintain data flow maps of how applications connect, the primary & foreign key fields used, assessing risks where these change, and impact to downstream reports.
  • Administer datasets and monitor the use of Reports being created, investigating stale or incorrectly created reports.
  • Build automation solutions using tools like Power Automate to reduce manual effort and improve data migrations.
  • Assist in Data projects, performing testing, investigation, troubleshooting and end user support
  • Seek out new ways to improve how data is used in the company by working closely with those who are using the applications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer/Data Science, Data Analytics or equivalent experience preferred
  • A combination of experience and education may be considered
  • 2-3 years working experience in a Data Analyst role or equivalent


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Strong data analytics knowledge, particularly working with large datasets
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and confident in building datasets and dashboards
  • Experience of building reports and dashboards in; SalesForce, Netsuite, OpenAir and creation of reports and dashboards.
  • Use of middleware tools (iPaaS) to integrate different data sources like Boomi, Celigo, Azure Automation
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • MS Office 365 with focus on Excel, Power BI, Power Automate
  • MS SQL Server query builder
  • Tableau or Salesforce Reporting tools

The salary range for this role is $58,000 to $73,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meet all required qualifications.
