Warehouse Personnel

SUMMARY

Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Receives and unpacks materials and supplies. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes. Supplying production lines with required materials.

Job Description

• Responsible for processing all incoming materials and outgoing to the customer.
• Responsible for tagging and storing all incoming materials.
• Responsible for transporting materials to plant when requested.
• Tagging and release of all approved raw materials and components.
• Material Disposition.
• Stock rotation.
• Ensure proper put-away of all materials both inbound and outbound.
• Ensure all window-times are adhered to.
• Ensure materials are issued to production in a timely manner both physically and electronically.
• Follow proper safety protocol when operating lifts.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained including regular maintenance schedule.
• During off-shifts, communicate any/all Customer issues/concerns. Act as the liaison between PTI and the Customer and between Materials and Production Supervisors to resolve any issues.
• Maintain active/current fork-lift license.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Materials Supervisor or Manager.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A current hi-lo license issued by Minth
• Good verbal/written communication.
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Maintain and follow all training requirements
• Able to work different hours and shifts as needed
• Use required safety equipment

Job Physical Requirements

Sitting: Remaining in the seated position

Standing: Must be able to stand

Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs, ladder, or up onto a hi-lo

Bending or stooping: Must be able to bend, crouch, or stoop to move boxes or inventory.

Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

Hand and Finger: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling keyboard, or picking up a piece of paper.

Additional physical requirements: Manual dexterity sufficient to lift and carry boxes and to grasp the handle to use a hydraulic pallet jack and two-wheeled dolly.

Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer, to count and verify lot numbers and quantities of parts for shipping.

Work Environment: Inside office and warehouse both with and without temperature controls and wood coated and concrete floors.
