Job Details



We are seeking a Trust and Estate Paralegal with a minimum of 3 years of experience in estate administration and probate. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing estate files from inception through distribution, a strong understanding of tax preparation related to estates, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients. Experience with high net-worth clients is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys with the administration of estates and trusts, including probate court filings, estate tax returns, and accountings.
  • Directly communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and other professionals to gather and provide information, fostering strong relationships.
  • Prepare and file various probate and administration documents, inventories, accountings, and tax returns with minimal supervision.
  • Manage estate and trust bank accounts, including the preparation of checks, account statements, and fiduciary accountings.
  • Coordinate the valuation of assets and maintain detailed records of estate assets and distributions.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state estate tax returns; experience with income tax preparation is a significant plus.
  • Support attorneys in estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in trust and estate administration and probate.
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of probate procedures and understanding of fiduciary tax matters.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with estate planning and administration software is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client service.
  • Experience working with high net-worth clients is preferred.
