Position Description:

 

Positions in this function work in the analysis phase of the system development cycle and consult with users to evaluate business requirements, identify operating procedures, evaluate existing or proposed systems and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. This function also is intended to include those that also may define business processes.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary IT resource for small to medium-size projects

- Work with business segments to better define project requirements for development and implementation

- Translate requirements into technical specifications

- Work with developers to get projects developed and implemented

- Facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with developers and business resources

- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements

- Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems

- Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses

- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

PLSQL 

- Medicaid / Medicare or state programs

- Claims or Encounter experience

- HIPAA Transactions experience specifically 837, 277 or 835's

- Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.

- Works with less structured, more complex issues

- Serves as a resource to others.

Requirements

Requirements:

- 1+ year HIPAA Transactions experience specifically with 837 277 835  NCPDP

- Healthcare Industry background in either payor services, pharmacy, hospital/physician billing or managed care organization.

- 4+ years of System/Business Analyst experience. Must have strong analytical skills with emphasis on data analysis/troubleshooting/root cause analysis

- Previous PL/SQL experience and/or Relational Database experience

 

Assets:

Experience working with government run programs such as Medicaid / Medicare and/or other state programs

Claims Processing Systems (eg Diamond/Facets) or Encounter reporting in either medical or pharmacy data.

Experience working on different phases of SDLC
