Job Description:
The Commodity Supervisor is a skilled and knowledgeable contracts professional who, with minimal supervision, works closely with end users to acquire business forms, thermal labels and other customer supply items as well as standard products.
The Commodity Supervisor will establish business objectives and the contractual and financial structure under which business forms, thermal labels, and general customer supply items required by UPS will be obtained. He/she must have extensive knowledge of the procurement process, inventory management, current market and industry trends, contract law and legal concepts in addition to proven skills and ability to lead in contract negotiations, and vendor management.
The Commodity Supervisor will work independently within established procurement guidelines to draft and administer legal documents such as RFIs, RFPs, master contracts, non-disclosure agreements, work orders and/or price schedules, and manage the same with internal users and vendors.
The successful candidate must professionally represent the UPS Procurement group during interactions with internal customers, external vendors and suppliers.

Education:
The desired Commodity Supervisor will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Purchasing, Materials Management, Graphic Communications or related manufacturing discipline. 5+ years related experience required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
