The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Manager of Business Intelligence Applications for our Information Technology Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
The Manager, Business Intelligence Applications provides overall BI program management and technical leadership in guiding the analysis, development, and delivery of business reporting requests/issues/requirements, conducting quality assurance testing for all BI deliverables, and providing end user support related to project and operational Enterprise Business Intelligence activities . This individual will be managing a team responsible for developing enterprise BI reporting solutions for the following enterprise organizations; residential Corporate Marketing and Sales, Business Services, New Products and Engineering. The position will supervise a combined workforce of employees and contractors on and offshore including report developers, business analysts, project managers, QA analysts and ETL developers. The core responsibilities include building, testing, delivering and supporting enterprise reporting by developing new BI solutions or augmenting existing BI assets. The Manager will work closely with end users and other BI Managers to deliver on new requests for reports.

This individual must possess strong planning, leadership, analysis, communication, documentation, presentation, and negotiation skills to act as a bridge between the business and IT at the inception of projects, within the development and quality assurance processes, and as the team that provides on-going support and training to the various business functions served. This role will also oversee a team of professionals who develop and administer various enterprise BI tools including MicroStrategy, SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services, SAS and Tableau.

This role provides BI analysis and functional expertise for business requests, defects/enhancements, and projects. As a result, this role requires a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, business intelligence, business analysis and BI tools.

Essential Job Functions:
The Manager, Business Intelligence Applications leads the ad-hoc BI delivery and consulting function. This individual is the liaison between the IT Business Intelligence organization, the functional business clients, and the broader data warehousing team including business analysts, DBA ' s, solutions architects, data integration developers, production operations and quality assurance. The BI Manager is responsible for the intake and delivery processes for all ad-hoc (non-plan of record) reporting requests for multiple lines of business. This individual will work with his/her team to leverage multiple data sources, data integration technologies and BI applications to deliver reporting and analytic solutions. In addition this individual will develop and provide training programs to ensure business and IT staff is capable and cross-trained as appropriate in BI tools and content. Excellent leadership and communication skills required to conduct annual strategic roadmap planning with business partners, develop and actively manage associated annual budgets and provide frequent project status updates to internal customers and senior management.Experience with the following data warehousing software and applications are a plus: MicroStrategy 9.4.1, SSIS/SSRS, SAS, Tableau, Composite, Netezza, WinSQL, Mercury Quality Center, Excel, and SharePoint.

Job Requirements:
Provide consulting to business and technology organizations on best practices for BI to ensure maximum value and actionable information is deliveredManage reporting request intake process, direct work prioritization and facilitate tradeoff discussions with business partners
Provide critical input and analysis into detailed project planning when BI is a portion of an overall project
Manage departmental and project budgets and resource planning
Multi-task in complex environment and balance needs of concurrent projects and support requests
Business process leadership and planning within the BI arena
Customer relationship management
Create, publish, and maintain documented analysis artifacts and knowledge captured
Provide support to the business user community by resolving end user questions/issues regarding BI solutions
Manage defect/enhancement prioritization and process with business leaders on an on-going basisRecommend new or improve existing training and education programs based on interactions with business and IT
Create and cultivate formal BI Key User Groups
Empower end-users through instruction and functional knowledge transfer and BI self-service capabilities
Identify opportunities for business and technology improvements
Provide regular monitoring and reporting of BI user adoption and deliverables use
Experience leading BI Development teams, specifically MicroStrategy and SQL Server Reporting Services

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated competency in all phases of business intelligence solution development
Project and program management experience and ability to quickly identify key milestone activities. Exposure and project delivery in an Agile delivery environment is preferred.Experience executing complex resource plans using a mix of employees, contractors, skill sets, functions and on and off shoreBudget managementAble to communicate effectively with all levels in a clear and professional manner, both verbally and written

Broad data warehousing exposure
Technical expertise in BI system architecture, design, and development
Deep experience with data warehouse and BI technologies such as IBM Netezza, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Teradata, SQL, UNIX , BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAS, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.
Good understanding of MPP and or large SMP environments
Good understanding of database administration, tuning, and space management
Good understanding of data modeling (multi-dimensional & ER) and design considerations for analytical systems
Ideal candidate will have experience managing MicroStrategy 9.4.1 development and administration against data sourced from Netezza

Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
