About this job
May Institute's Children's Therapeutic After-School Program in West Roxbury is looking for a part-time Child Care Specialist to work 30 hours per week.
**Schedule: Mon - Fri 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
*Work with 6-12 year old children with emotional and behavioral disorders
*Develop and facilitate age-appropriate group therapies
*Maintain consistent contact with parents/guardians and other providers
*Administer structured activities, group management, and crisis intervention
*Assist in developing and implementing coping skills, incentive plans, and treatment plans
*Facilitate daily recreational activities
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree preferred
*Complete administrative paperwork and scheduled tasks in a timely manner
*Possess ability to keep calm in crisis situations
*Ability to work in conjunction with a team as well as autonomously
*Possession of a valid Driver's License required (willing to apply for 7D license)
