REM Iowa is seeking a full time Program Director to join our team!

Description REM Iowa Community Services is seeking a Program Director to manage the day to day operations of programs in the Urbandale area. Program Directors ensure quality of services delivered and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Program Director also manages, hires, trains and schedule staff.


Responsibilities:

• Oversees program implementation of health and safety programs for individuals receiving services and employees

• Maintains program compliance with Network and regulatory standards for clean, neat, safe living environments

• Provides leadership and supervision of staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training; makes decisions on employee hiring, discipline, terminations; resolves employee issues within scope of position; implements program safety and worker’s compensation programs; implements Network employee practices

• Maintains licensing and compliance for program services and supports; assures timely and accurate program documentation; implements Network compliance plan;

• Maintains and fosters relationships with case managers for referrals; lobbies on behalf of the individuals receiving services and Network as appropriate

• Maintains and fosters relations hips with individuals receiving services, families and guardians

• Implements strategies to maintain census

• Oversees and maintains quality enhancements and assists in developing individual program plans and related documentation; coordinates Network standards, licensing requirements and individuals supported needs; reviews and submits incident reports

• Performs other related duties and activities as required


Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least one year of related experience working with people with ID/DD preferred

• Minimum 2 years of previous supervisory experience

• Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills

• Computer literacy and proficiency

• Strong organizational skills and ability to deal effectively and creatively with issues and problems

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
