Crown Bolt Asst Mgr - Support -Phoenix, AZ

Responsible for implementing company standards for appearance and arrangement of merchandise. May coordinate signage for any special promotions. Assists operations with layout to ensure proper merchandise placement and flow. P lans and coordinates merchandise flow-through.

Position Purpose

Responsible for working with merchandisers to strengthen service levels and ensure company standards are met and account satisfaction is maintained.  Ensure proper training and retraining for all merchandisers.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Oversees recruiting and hiring processes within assigned territory and ensuring proper training for merchandisers based and policies and procedures.
•  Develops processes and procedures to ensure areas of improvement through store inspection and associate contact.
•  Contacts receiving department to determine status of incoming orders.
  • Complies with all company SOP's through safety training/retraining.  Follows up with all merchandisers to minimize accidents.
  •  Performs basic maintenance to display using ten step standards.
  •  Monitors and floors up on all resets and new stores in assigned area.
  •  Manages the process to ensure the correct mix and plan-o-gram integrity for all stores in assigned territory.

Nature and Scope

• Ensure that work is performed consistently with HD Supply policies and procedures.
• Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.

Travel  Typically requires overnight travel less than 10%  of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must pass the Background Check.
• Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

Education Required

The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience 5 Years

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8 - 20 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline.  
Generally 5+ years experience in related field.  
May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
