BASIC PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to reconcile and manage the return check database. This position works with customers, stores and different levels of management in regards to all forms of paper check collections, personal and company.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with various internal and external contacts to ensure maximum collections are attained.
· Monitor and maintain return check database by accounting for new returns and deposit collections.
· Prepare policy violation emails on a daily basis.
· Assist in the creation of the various return checks weekly and monthly reports.
· Report Company returned checks and collections to NATSO.
· Research fleet adjustments by contacting stores for ticket information in order to respond back to the billing company.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Some college a plus
- Experience:
- 2 years accounting related background
- Banking experience a definite plus
- Credit/Fleet Card experience a plus
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Hard skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with AS400 preferred
- Soft skills: Excellent oral and verbal communication skills; keen attention to detail and team player
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
