Responsibilities:
Operate equipment in a safe manner as outlined in JSA.
Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment. Recharge lift truck battery or replace/refuel gas tank. Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers. Understand and follow instructions given by on-board RF unit. Correctly operate the hand-held scanning device. Manually load/unload material not designed to be handled by forks or pole. Must be receptive to all training related to the lift truck operator position or any cross-training deemed necessary by supervision. Any other tasks assigned by manager
Knowledge and skills required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Willingness to learn system operation. Dependable, with good attendance record. Must be able to pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
Qualifications:
At least 6 months experience in a warehouse facility
Operate forklift equipment and pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.
Ability to operate banding and wrapping machines in assigned facility.
Experience with cut tables helpful.
Working knowledge of AS400 system, or willingness to learn system operation.
Dependable, with good attendance record.
