We have a full-time opening for a Energy & Lighting Consultants - Various Locations.

Must be able to work at least 5 shifts per week and be available weekdays and weekends.

Our Energy and Lighting consultants provide solutions for our existing and prospective customers. They are on the leading edge of new technologies including LED lighting and next generation batteries. Our company provides extensive training including repairing smart phones and tablets. Come see the future and join our team. We have four locations in Northern Virginia including Alexandria, Chantilly, Fairfax and Manassas. Essential Responsibilities (other duties as assigned) Customer Service / Sales * Greet customers, determine needs and answer questions * Suggest add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities in order to achieve sales and profit goals * Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers * Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy * Answer phones, ensuring messages are relayed * Assist in achieving retail and commercial sales initiatives * Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities * Function as a team player doing whatever is necessary to help attain company goals * Demonstrate a customer-first mentality * Provide store tours to introduce other products/services to customers * Must achieve selling expectations measured by retail lines per ticket and upselling metrics Merchandising / Inventory * Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager * Rotate and stock inventory in an accurate and timely manner * Install batteries, perform tests and tech work * Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third party delivery companies * Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance * Maintain retail shelf label pricing * Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures * Prepare store for daily opening and closing including counting and reconciling register drawers * Maintain appearance and uniform standards. Ensure cleaning, housekeeping, organization and maintenance responsibilities, both inside and outside the store to meet company expectations. * Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Qualifications * Minimum H.S. diploma/equivalent and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail experience desired * Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's electronic retail and cross reference system; capable of adapting learning to incorporate new technology * Excellent customer skills including listening to and diagnosing problems, finding solutions and identifying appropriate products and services. * Aptitude for technical details and a willingness to learn new technologies and disciplines. * Fine motor skills and the ability to follow very detailed instructions are necessary when performing smart phone and tablet repairs. * Desirable if employee can work in multiple store locations. * Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including peak seasons, special events, and have an awareness of how the store is operating in the manager's absence. Working Environment The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows. Reasonable accommodations, if necessary and/or as required by law, will be made available. * This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and lift more than 50 pounds. * The position also requires the employee to occasionally use electrical cables, simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, spot welders, automotive and electronic testing equipment, and a company automobile. * While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock. The level of noise in the working environment is moderate. * Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.
