Lockheed Martin in Lexington, KY is looking for a Instrumentation Engineer to join their team! The facility in Lexington is responsible for fulfilling task orders for various special operations assignments using the UH-60. To work at this facility, individual MUST have an active secret clearance!!
Job Description:
- Position is split between integrating systems on to the helicopter, then testing the systems to make sure everything works together with no flaws
- SOF CLSS is looking for a strong System Integration and Test Engineer (SE). SOF CLSS segment supports the customer with a quick turnaround of activities from the proposal through Task Order (TO) execution.
- This individual needs to be a self-starter that is well versed in the Systems Engineering process and will support activities during the proposal and through TO execution.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Systems Engineering Integration/Test Cell at LM MFC SOF CLSS across various task orders and military platforms along with the integration of GFE provided components
- Tasks include the coordination and planning ground test/flight test planning, troubleshooting on system issue, and execution for the test program.
- The candidate should have a strong technical background and capable of interfacing with customer a daily basis during the test program.
- Prepare/plan/coordinate and present at the internal (LM Only)and external (Customer) Pre-ship readiness, Test Readiness and Flight readiness reviews along with associated data reviews. Support Failure analysis and corrective action activities.
- Set of customers needs come in as a Task Order, a specific set of instuctions and specifications
- From customer needs, you will then set up the requirement that the customer is looking for.
- Take the requirment to find out all the needs from each customer with the assistance of a project engineer.
- Design will come up with different options to solve the customer needs.
- Then we have the integration phase. Integration is putting everything together. Plugging it all in.
- Next is the test phase. This is to see if it all work together. For every requirement - every need the cusotmer has- you will write a test plan.
Qualifications:
- Individual MUST have an active secret clearance or be able to obtain a clearance
- +10 years of experience in the aerospace / defense industry
- Bachelors degree and/or Masters degree in engineering or relative work experience
- Familiar with military requirements, products, and task orders
- Experience working with DOORS software is preferred
- An individual that is disciplined, well organized and has demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Candidate should be an independent self-starter and team player.
- Strong professional presence and attitude when interfacing with customer. Strong technical problem solving skills.
