Host/Hostess

Description:

Greets all guests who enter the restaurant; Graciously escorts guests to their table, and provides menus to them once seated; Coordinates the operation of the dining room during meal service periods, adjusting seating flow in such a manner as to balance guests among the various service stations. Takes all to-go orders and re-confirms to guest to ensure proper items are rung into the point of sale system; Answers telephone calls to the restaurant; Takes reservations

Requirements:

Must have professional appearance and attitude; Prior experience working in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred; Demonstrated customer service experience; Experience working in a fast paced working environment; General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new programs quickly; Ability to transport and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. numerous times throughout the shift; Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours; Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities
