Carpenter - Full-time / Part-time

POSITION: CARPENTER – Cabinet Maker and Bench Carpenter

LOCATION: Long Beach, CA

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Temp and Temp to Hire

SCHEDULE: Typical work schedule is first shift, Monday-Saturday, 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed

PAY RATE: Depends on Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: PrideStaff is assisting a large, rapidly growing company in locating several bench carpenters and cabinet makers to join their team. The company designs, fabricates and installs cabinets, furniture and interiors for major organizations. Seeking Hard working individuals that have experience in Light Construction, Carpentry, and knows how to handle tools of all kinds. Carpenters are expected to be able to operate basic shop tools and equipment to cut, shape and assemble sections. Typical tools include planers, jointers, shapers, routers, sanders and various power tools. Safety and attention to details are most important. All workers will start as PrideStaff Temp Associates. The company is looking to hire good workers with the right experience, who consistently prove themselves over several weeks with great work ethics and skills.

REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Applicants Must:

--- Be able to read and interpret shop drawings for milling and fabrication

--- Have at least 2 years of recent experience as a finish carpenter

--- Be skilled using the standard hand and power tools of a finish carpenter

--- Have great attendance and work ethics

--- Is an excellent team player

--- Learn quickly and work well with others

--- Be bilingual (Spanish)

--- Provide at least 3 professional references

--- Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
