Position Summary:
This individual is responsible for supporting the Oracle MFP (Merchandise Financial Planning) system suite for Burlington Stores. Current module includes Enterprise Planning. This includes owning the functional and understanding the technical aspect of the MFP system suite as well as end user and production support. This position will contribute to the strategic development of the Planning/Allocation process and will partner with the IT and MIO organizations during the adoption of any future implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide functional and technical expertise and partner with key internal and external resources in order to resolve issues.
• Ensure that the Planning/Allocation module interacts effectively with other related systems.
• Create and maintain need calculations within MFP and support teams with features and functions of new system.
• Actively participate in the development, implementation and functional support of additional projects and systems designed to build the retail capabilities of the brands.
• Act as a liaison between the Planning/Allocation teams, the IT / MIO teams, and external vendors

Managing the MFP System
• Utilizing the capabilities of the system to manage the topside pre-season and in-season metrics for different scenarios and “what if” analysis.
• Use the system to manage the pre-season lock down process by holding the shape of the lower level plans.
• Use the system to manage the weekly topside and / or class level forecast processes.
• Conduct special projects for Senior Management.
• Engage in high level editing and auditing of plans, forecasts, and goals, at the direction of management.
• Log system capabilities and produce “Tips” for users.

Reporting
• Produce weekly, monthly, seasonal, and ad hoc pre-season and in-season reports.
• Produce reports on pre-season and in-season opportunities and risks to sales, all margin metrics, receipts, and inventory.
• Produce and review exception reports on topside issues and determine problem and opportunity areas
• Report on pre-season initiatives during and post season.
• Interact with IT and business users to design actionable reports which assist in driving sales and profit objectives for merchandise categories as well as ensuring data integrity.
• Participate in compilation of quarterly BOD slides, Town Hall slides, etc.

MFP Change Management
• Identify and present system upgrades or user needs to the VP of Merch Control.
• Engage with the IT and MIO teams to scope and implement the approved changes.
• Engage with the planning users in the design, testing, and training phases of the project.
• Establish testing scripts for UAT.
• Produce training materials.

Scope and Impact:
• High visibility role
• Collaborate cross functionally to implement new systems and tools in a multi-brand, multi-channel environment
• Present and recommend strategies to the business users and IT organization
• Influencing and communicating at a variety of associate and management levels
• Extremely strong follow up skills and issue tracking / follow up experience
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presenting complex material in an organized and compelling manner
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications and a thorough understanding of business intelligence tools

Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree; advanced degree a plus
• Minimum 5 years of Planning/Allocation experience
• Experience with MFP or JDA products in an Administrator role

Skills and Abilities:
• Expert Excel, Expert Micro Strategy, Access, Power Point, expert planning systems
