JOB SUMMARY
This role reports to the Mgr, BI- Data Integrity Mgmt and is a team contributor who triages potential issues, conducts data quality assessments and performs data profiling. This position is also responsible for performing root cause analysis and recommending audit measures and related statistical-based thresholds to identify data integrity issues before they impact BI reporting.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Mgr, BI- Data Integrity Mgmt in coordination with BI vertical and enablement team members to select and prioritize metrics to be audited.

Triage, research, track and communicate customer-impacting data issues and audit performance.

Provide support for data related questions, identifying, researching, and analyzing potential risks in order to document solution requirements.

Perform data profiling to identify non-conformance and recommend measures to prevent re-occurrence of quality deficiencies.

Perform data quality assessment and analyze & mine complex business data sets to identify and interpret patterns, trends and correlations among the various data sets.

Identify, evaluate and recommend statistical audits, data alerts, job dependencies, and scheduling, to flag data anomalies before they affect BI reports.

Craft audit benchmarks and variance thresholds to maximize the chance of identifying true data integrity issues while minimizing “false positives”

Work closely with the Data Audit Strategy team to implement the rules supporting data lineage, business and technical definitions, and data flows that will drive validation of new and legacy data marts and data stores.

Develop data quality scorecards based on key metrics and indicators.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Strong analytical skills
Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of applied math and statistics to support innovative auditing solutions
Knowledge of data lineage, data profiling, and metadata management concepts
Experience with data warehousing, extraction, and integration methodologies in a large-scale computing environment
Hands-on experience in SQL databases, preferably in Massive Parallel Processing (MPP) database platforms, and BI reporting tools
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including senior leadership/management
Ability to interpret complex and large data sets and translate into easy to understand views
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly learn new businesses and technologies

Education
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience
