Weekend Stylist

Part-time Saturdays, Sundays, potentially Weekday after school time

Pay: $15.25+/hr weekdays WITH ADDED 10% shift differential on Saturdays and Sundays.

AND the potential for regular monthly bonuses for excellent client reviews!

AND 10% commission on hair product sales!

We don't work with color or harsh chemicals!

Great hours, no late nights!

Relaxed dress code - you can wear jean shorts and a T-shirt (it can be sweaty & hard work keeping up with the kids!)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide haircutting services and products that will create a fun and memorable experience for children and parents alike. Ensure consistency in all aspects of operations and day-to-day activities. Build the Pigtails & Crewcuts brand by being a positive example.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide consultations and haircuts for children and adults using clippers, trimmers, and shears
• Ensure appropriate cleanliness of work areas and salon
• Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments
• Successfully meet standards of our Shear Excellence, Quality Assurance Program
• Perform reception duties when appropriate or required
• Sell and support salon’s retail and haircare products
• Provide advice to families regarding hair products and care
• Train newly-hired hairstylists in a proactive manner
• Maintains a consistent relationship with families in order to ensure they return
• Build rapport with peers to make an upbeat environment for everyone
• Perform all services and duties to support a team environment

EDUCATIONAL / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed Cosmetologist or Barber
• Licensed in Arizona
• At least 1 year experience with men's clipper cuts

SKILLS:

• Must be patient and positive with children
• Independent thinker
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage numerous priorities and perform in dynamic environments
• A personal sense of urgency and proven commitment to excellence

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works in a busy environment
• Available for Saturdays and Sundays

SAFETY:

Qualifying applicants must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. and work on their feet for extended periods
