Tax Manager Job Description

We're looking for experienced candidates for the tax manager/director position. You will report to the Senior Operations Officer. If you are looking for an exciting place to work and grow, please look at the responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities for Tax Manager

• Be a resource for staff and wealth advisors on all aspects of income taxation and tax return preparation
• Prepare unitary and combined federal, state, and local income tax returns for trusts, estates, foundations, individuals, partnerships, and related entities
• Tax compliance and planning for ultra high net-worth individuals and their related entities
• Analyze complex investment information for tax purposes, including FX and real estate transactions
• Prepare detailed planning and analysis memoranda
• Interface with clients and colleagues regarding tax planning and structuring matters
• Communicate with outside tax accounting firms, lawyers, and other client advisors

Qualifications for Tax Manager

• 10-year CPA firm or similar experience servicing high net-worth tax clients
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and other tax software applications
• Ability to analyze, interpret and apply accounting rules, tax laws, regulations, rulings, and court decisions
• Advanced degree or professional certification beyond college (e.g., MBA, MS, MTx, CPA)
