At Kaman Corporation, the Sr. Infrastructure Administrator reports directly to the Manager of Infrastructure and is a member of the infrastructure team. They provide advanced support for systems, system software, and users in a multi division environment on a daily or “on-call” basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide more advanced support, installation, and troubleshooting for, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows Servers, VMWare Servers, Azure based Servers, M365/Teams/SharePoint, Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Networks (local & wide area)
  • Performance and capacity monitoring, tuning, and planning.
  • Software installation and maintenance.
  • Review of network and system security.
  • Implement and review appropriate backup procedures and verify success.
  • Respond to subsidiaries Service Desk support requests.
  • Windows Domain administration.
  • Smart hands for Vendors and Application Management teams that need access to infrastructure
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Proficient interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems in a logical step-by-step approach.
  • Ability to clearly document solutions to effectively communicate with team.
  • Azure experience
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System.
  • Strong background with Virtual architectures
  • Strong knowledge of networks.
  • Advanced computer hardware skills.
  • Strong understanding of Azure, Azure AD, M365, Teams Administration and Governance.
EDUCATION/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
  • College degree in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Infrastructure Administrator or equivalent IT position.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Azure, Azure AD, M365, Teams Administration and Governance

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Because of the critical nature of support needs, this individual may be required to work on weekends and/or evenings and must be available to respond to "calls" and be on site within one hour of notification by the company. This may include occasions when out-of-town travel is required on relatively short notice.
