Summary

We are currently seeking a creative and dedicated Part-time Daycare Art Teacher to join our team at Little Rainbow Daycare. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art education and experience working with young children. The Part-time Daycare Art Teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging art activities that promote creativity, self-expression, and fine motor skills development in children.

Duties

  • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate art curriculum for children ages Infants - Toddlers in our daycare program.
  • Plan and facilitate art lessons that explore a variety of mediums, techniques, and artistic styles, including drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and crafts.
  • Provide hands-on instruction and guidance to help children develop their artistic skills and confidence.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel encouraged to explore their creativity and express themselves through art.
  • Incorporate age-appropriate art history and cultural elements into lessons to broaden children's understanding and appreciation of art.
  • Collaborate with daycare staff to integrate art activities into other areas of the curriculum, such as language arts, math, and science.
  • Organize and display children's artwork throughout the daycare facility to showcase their achievements and enhance the learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's participation in the art program and share resources and ideas for extending learning at home.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in art education, early childhood education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting.
  • Strong artistic skills and proficiency in a variety of art mediums and techniques.
  • Ability to plan and organize art lessons that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with educational goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity, patience, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of children and accommodate changing schedules and priorities.
