KOKH/KOCB Oklahoma City is seeking an individual to join our marketing, communications, and on-air promotions team. Duties include coordinating and managing the placement of promotional material for multiple markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Download and carting of ABC, NBC, CBS Network Spots (for multiple markets, as assigned)
  • Transfer Tag Central spots to Cloud and send carting sheets (for multiple markets, as assigned)
  • Transfer PSA and send carting sheets (for multiple markets, as assigned)
  • Work with the Promotion Manager/CSD to determine on-air priorities and on-air needs.
  • Schedule and input Promo's, PSA's, VOC's and Contest on log.
  • Keep the program episodic numbers current and keep the department informed of problems with promos being placed on the logs.
  • Update and maintain promotion contracts based on on-air priorities.
  • Strive to have a working knowledge of all the equipment that is involved in the production of promotional and commercial spots at both locations.
  • Strive to have working knowledge of promotion workflow - from editing to airing - of all stations currently working with.
  • Proofreads monthly edit calendars to ensure proper promos are being created accurately.
  • Oversee promo scheduling for on-air logs according to regional and national priorities, this includes log input and revisions, etc. Works closely with traffic to ensure all open time is filled and checks promo placement before log is finalized.
  • Manages regional monthly promo inventory and maintains a familiarity with both regions to serve as "back-up" to other OAP Coordinator during absences.
  • Monitors regional airtime and streams to ensure on-air promotional plans are being correctly executed. Follows up on discrepancies with Encompass, Traffic, etc. and supplies answers to relevant parties.
  • Traffic on-air team marketing elements/inventory as directed.
  • Executes all necessary log updates due to inventory changes.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of social media strategy.
  • Misc. projects as assigned.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Strong written/oral communications required.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized with effective communication skills.
  • Non-linear editing experience (Adobe Premiere non-linear editing experience is a must)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, After Effects and Photoshop, a plus
  • Experience with PC/Microsoft required. Experience with Wide Orbit and OSI Traffic System preferred.
  • Familiarity with current social media best practices.
