BASIC PURPOSE:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversees the Bank's strategic planning process and the creation of a multi-year strategic plan document.
Creates a framework and manages timelines for strategic planning and related board reporting.
Facilitates strategic planning meetings with leadership teams and employee groups to and ensure alignment of goals, objectives, and initiatives.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to gather input, analyze data, and help guide strategic priorities.
Develops process for continuous monitoring, evaluation and reporting of outcomes of the strategic plan, including progress toward strategic priorities and initiatives.
Serves as a strategic advisor to offer recommendations to drive strategic success.
Partners with communications and marketing teams to support internal and external communication initiatives, including employee, member, and board communications related to the strategic plan and Bank updates.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Demonstrated Communications and/or Business Planning experience at a corporate level
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and leaders
Demonstrated ability to manage projects and prioritize assignments
Experienced in media relations; strong news judgement
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities
Knowledge of financial services a plus
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business administration, with ten years or more of experience in marketing, communications, and strategic planning, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. A master's degree is preferred.
WORK LOCATION:Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially. This position may not be filled in California, either in-person or remotely.
