Job Description

Havertys Furniture is hiring an Atlanta based Construction Manager. This is a great opportunity to lead Havertys new store construction project management. If you have experience in brick and mortar store construction and understand design specifications, building codes, and construction designs for a new store or remodeling construction projects this position is for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for coordination, reporting, scheduling, and processing all aspects of asset management/operations and team support
  • Implement and maintain all property files, manuals, and records
  • Prepare for asset manager review and approval all invoices and accounting vouchers
  • Monitor outside vendors for compliance of contracts
  • Assist teams with all aspects of regular reporting, including scheduling, notes updates and report distribution
  • Assist in preparation of departmental operating budget
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting regarding construction payables
  • Assist in department presentation preparation
  • Liaison with outsource vendors for daily input/direction
  • Develop, maintain, and publish various reports as requested by department relating to overall asset status
  • Regular review of all reporting provided by all outsource service providers and distribution of information to appropriate departments/regional teams for action as required
Job Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAITS, AND /OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors' degree (B.A.) from a four -year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Construction management, project management, RPA certification preferred. Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent to develop and interpret graphs.
  • Computer skills are necessary in various aspects particularly in budget preparation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and other Database systems necessary.
