Senior Electrical Engineer

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at TETER, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and implementation of electrical systems for a wide range of building projects. Working closely with our Principal Engineer, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to our electrical engineering team. What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for various building types, including power distribution, lighting, telecommunication, and fire alarm systems.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to project drafters, engineers-in-training, and other team members, ensuring the successful execution of electrical engineering tasks.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and sub-consultants to develop innovative and sustainable electrical system solutions that meet the unique requirements of each project.
  • Direct the creation of detailed construction documents, including design submittals, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Support projects during the construction phase, including responding to requests for information, reviewing product submittals, and conducting site visits as needed.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and engineers-in-training, providing training and guidance to support their growth and development as electrical engineers.
  • Represent the electrical team in marketing interviews with potential or existing clients, showcasing our expertise and capabilities in building electrical system design.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Professional Electrical Engineer, with a focus on designing building electrical systems.
  • Current registration as an Electrical Engineer in the State of California, or ability to obtain registration within 6 months of employment.
  • Expertise in all aspects of building electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting design, telecommunication systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage project teams and resources.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected annual salary for this role is $140,900-165,000 (must be willing to work in-office 50% of each week). Actual pay will be determined based on license, experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
