Position Overview:  

The primary function of the Warehouse Associate is to work in our Corrigan Mechanical Contracting (CMC) Parts Warehouse managing all aspects of the inventory.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Warehouse Leader.

Job Overview:

The Journeyman Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings.  Oversee the apprentice electrician.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Master Electrician.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:

  • Installs and repairs electrical systems.
  • Installs conduit, wire, panels, lighting, outlets, breakers, and complete systems.
  • Ensures system comply with electrical codes.
  • Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
  • Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to accurately account for materials used on projects.
  • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to handle high stress situations and frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism; be courteous and friendly to customers and co-workers at all times.
  • Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work.
  • Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences.
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Follow company quality, safety, and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies.
  • Perform any duties as may be assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience/Education

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid Journeyman Electrician’s license required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
  • Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have experience in explosion proof systems and fueling stations.
