Salary: Salary $207,434.36 + DOE

PURPOSE
The Chief of Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for driving growth and revenue generation strategies for the enterprise sector of the organization. This role entails developing and executing innovative strategies to expand market presence, increase sales, and achieve revenue targets within the enterprises.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Enterprise Sales Strategy:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy tailored to the enterprise sector, aligning with overall business objectives and net revenue targets.
• Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and product development efforts.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track sales performance, market share, and customer satisfaction within the enterprise segment.
2. Client Relationship Management:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, including local, state, and regional companies, multinational corporations with local influence, and large-scale organizations doing business within the region.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise clients, understanding their business objectives, challenges, and priorities to deliver tailored solutions and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure alignment and coordination in serving enterprise clients.
3. Business Development and Partnerships:
• Identify strategic partnership opportunities with industry leaders, technology providers, and ecosystem partners to enhance the organization's value proposition and market position.
• Lead negotiations and contract discussions with enterprise clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Drive the expansion of the organization's footprint within the enterprise sector through targeted business development efforts and strategic alliances.
4. Sales Operations and Performance Management:
• Oversee the enterprise team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
• Develop and implement sales processes, tools, and systems to optimize efficiency, productivity, and performance across the enterprise sales organization.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation in sales strategies and tactics.
5. Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics within the enterprise sector to identify opportunities and threats.
• Conduct market research, customer surveys, and competitive analysis to inform product development, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market disruptions, and regulatory changes that may impact the enterprise segment and adapt strategies accordingly.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and targets.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to enterprise clients and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a data-driven and results-oriented approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
• Deep understanding of enterprise markets, customer segments, and industry verticals, with the ability to anticipate market trends and customer needs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, disruption, and driving change in a dynamic and competitive business environment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, skills)
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and client acquisition.


UNUSUAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR RESTRICTIONS
The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs. Travel on small aircraft or ferry may be required.
