Commercial Construction Superintendent

Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

We are looking to hire a hard-working field supervisor to manage the day-to-day field operations of civil construction sites. The field supervisor’s responsibilities include safety of the crew, jobsite organization, production, keeping a schedule for the week ahead. You should also be able to train and mentor field staff in the operation of heavy equipment and the processes of pile driving and wall building, manage the work schedules of the field staff, adjusting them as needed, and able to build good working relationships with customers and resolve customer complaints in an efficient manner. A background in geotechnical construction is preferred in PILE DRIVING OR DRILLING.

Field Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Working with engineering and project management team to ensure that the project design is accurate and understood before work commences.
• Directing the crew in the proper methods of foundational drilling, pile driving, erection of beam and lagging walls, sheet pile driving and micropiles
• Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all equipment needed for the project.
• Acting as the main point of communication between the main field and the office.
• Managing the work schedules and timecards for all field staff.
• Providing leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties.
• Investigating and resolving customer complaints.
• Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to.
• Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met.

Field Supervisor Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience in supervising geotechnical operations.
• An understanding of soil stabilization methods
• Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• The ability to work in different environmental conditions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to work outside in the elements.
• Good positive attitude and work ethic are the most important.
