The first Sally Beauty store was opened in 1964 in New Orleans. Shortly after, the store acquired new management as well as ten more locations across New Orleans and the surrounding area. Over the next 30 years, Sally Beauty experienced multiple changes in management and a change in corporate headquarters that triggered nationwide growth.
