Projectionist

A projectionist must be timely and attentive. It is essential to master all technicalities of the position and have infinite patience. You must have multi tasking skills and have a sharp eye when it comes to detail and perfection. All of these are the qualities of a responsible projectionist. It is important to understand that customers are coming to see your hard work and they want to be impressed with your product. Projectionists are highly responsible & held accountable for the prestige & flawlessness of a presentation beginning to end.

We have also provided you with knowledge of our food as it is very important every Movie Tavern employee knows what’s on the menu.

Requirements

A projectionist must have experience in preparing and using Digital Projection system. A projectionist must also be physically able to perform the job: of building trailer packs; maintaining a projectionist booth, as it is usually located above the theater floor, could have a flight of stairs leading to it. Hearing and listening skills must be of a level that is able to recognized differentiations in a soundtrack or film picture.

A projectionist readies the theatre with building movies with proper trailers and other required flights.

The movie begins, and the projectionist must stand by, and simultaneously watch the movie and projection area—do theatre head counts and maintain lighting.. During the showing of the movie, various things could go wrong --the machine may malfunction; the sound may stop. A projectionist must be able to trouble shoot and fix the problems that may arise.

The projectionist must clean, inspect and maintain digital projectors routinely. If a projector breaks down, the projectionist can perform the repairs himself, or make a call to provide a solution.
