Plumbers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all sanitary lines, grease lines, traps, and interceptors, including, but not limited to the operation of large cable commercial sewer machines and high-pressure line jetting equipment.
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing UO natural gas systems, including all above ground and below ground pipes, valves and fittings.
  • Performing mandated leak repairs as needed.
  • Locating underground pipelines and leaks using state-of-the-art test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all high-pressure steam boilers and piping.
  • Performing daily water chemistry tests on boiler feed water.
  • Maintaining all flame, water, natural gas, and pressure controls, as well as all other safety devices.
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all chemical feed and makeup water feed pumps.
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all potable water systems as it pertains to UO Facilities, including, but not limited to all water softeners, water heaters, water heating boilers, and all potable backflow preventers (circulating pumps, tempering valves, mixing valves, high pressure fog/mist lines, nozzles and pumps).
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all water based fire protection systems, including all fire hydrants, fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, industrial or fire backflow preventers, and air accelerating devices.
  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing all UO plumbing systems to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and Team Members, including, but not limited to water closets, urinals, sinks, faucets, drinking fountains, and all associated piping by complying with all NSF, ADA, and state plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.



To perform the role of a Plumber successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required to operate company vehicles.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to use extendable boom forklift, forklift (sit down, stand-up, or motorized pallet jacks), high reach (aerial lift), backhoe/frontend loader, and tractor required.


The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Plumber job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to lift greater than 25 pounds or more; will require repetitive reaching, pushing/pulling, bending, twisting; will require working at heights greater than 4 feet, will require welding, cutting, brazing, and working with an open flame.


The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Plumber job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to work with vibrating tools/equipment, work with chemicals and/or chemical related fumes, work on waterways, ponds, or water attractions, work with compressed gas cylinders or tanks, work with pressure washers, cranes and performing service on powered equipment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to work with waste paints/solvents, oils/fuels, waste batteries and work with waste aerosols.
  • While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is loud noise.
