Machine Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Growing machining company that produces military and aerospace parts is seeking machine operators on 2nd shift for their Baltimore facility. Machine operators should be mechanically inclined and be able to accurately read blue prints. Job responsibilities include:
-Assemble, disassemble, evaluate carbons, springs, pins, housings, to make up partial or complete shaft seals
-Use stone and scraper to debur sealing surfaces on seal housings
-Use ultrasonic cleaner to dip tanks to clean parts prior to assemble; dip parts in rust inhibitor
-Operate air test equipment to check shaft seals for leakage and vibration
-Mount fixture and connect air supply; mount seal on fixture; operate hand lever to apply specified air pressure to seal; observe leakage on flow meter and record
-Check equipment for air leaks. Perform routine checks to determine cause of excessive leakage
-Perform minor maintenance on test equipment such as replacing worn gaskets and o rings
-Set up and operate conventional milling and drilling machines
-Record test data

Working hours: 3:00PM - 11:30PM

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma
-2+ years experience in a machine shop or manufacturing plant
-Ability to ready blueprints
-Understanding of basic mechanical concepts
-Detail oriented
