Position Summary:

This position manages the payroll function for the entire Health System. The Payroll Manager plans, develops, and implements payroll policies & procedures. This position is responsible for timely, accurate payroll processing, related payroll tax & informational filings, cash wires for all payroll withholdings, and garnishment answers. This position also is responsbile for treasury management for all corporations including positive pay for the payroll account. Ensure through proper internal controls, staffing, tools, policies and procedures that accurate payroll records are maintained. Ensures compliance with all payroll state & federal regulations. Provides training, coaching,  production standards and leadership for the accounting staff reporting to this position. Ensures adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard the assets of all corporations. Assist Accounting Management in records retention and storage as it relates to payroll and cash tracking and availability.

 Minimum Qualifications:

-          Minimum of three (3) years payroll experience with at least one (1) year in a supervisory position.   Healthcare experience preferred.

-          Bachelor’s degree in related field required.

-          Experience processing payroll in an organization for at least 3,000 associates.

-          Current working knowledge of Federal and State payroll tax filing requirements including preparation of 941’s. 

-          Working knowledge of Payroll Information Systems. Experience with Lawson Payroll Software preferred.

-          Working knowledge of time & labor management systems. Experience with Kronos preferred.

-          Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
