The Regional Manager will direct, coordinate and oversee regional retail operations and supervise the Director of Security positions and security professionals for all shopping center properties with which they are assigned. The Regional Manager is also responsible for maintaining client relations within assigned division by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage security operations at property level based on contract specifications which includes managing potential threats, client incident reporting system, incident investigations, leveraged law enforcement, luxury tenant program, retail awareness programs and the performance development of security staff.
  • Directs compliance of Directors of Security and security staff with established company policies, procedures, and standards, which includes deployment of resources, crime trending, mobility units, leveraged law enforcement and overall visibility.
  • Reviews replies to client complaints and settlement of claims for conformance with company public relations policies and procedures.
  • Develop action plans for improved security operations at each of the assigned client locations and staff development plans as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and agencies.
  • Provide 24/7 critical communications to client corporate security personnel as well as internal Executive Management.
  • Communicates with assigned branch operational staff to ensure administrative support to all property level personnel.
  • Examines and analyzes operating costs to determine such needs or requirements to increase rates, reduction of operations, maintenance costs and expansion of/or changes in regional locations.
  • Prepared recommendations designed to increase efficiency, revenues and lower costs for management evaluations.



Position Requirements

  • Four year college degree or 4+ years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years prior security management experience in a retail/shopping center environment.
  • Prefer candidates with experience managing multi-site accounts throughout a diverse geographical region.
  • Prior retail security/public safety/law enforcement experience with command level experience a plus!
  • Prior experience in the security industry, highly desired. Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry a plus.
  • Current driver’s license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), and ability to safely operate a Company vehicle required.
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software a considerable plus.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.
  • Ideal applicant will have previous experience living and working in the Hawaii market.
