Application Development Lead

We are seeking a Application Development Lead to work on our Claims Highway team.   The new hire will have a lead role in the design, development, testing and delivery of software.   You would be responsible for taking high level requirements and driving down to the details. You will have the opportunity to work on strategic/complex issues.   You will be working with a virtual team which includes both onshore and offshore team members.

• Operates within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines


• Applies best of breed in software principles and techniques in order to solve technical problems

• Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions


• Performs complex conceptual analysis


• Participates in solution reviews and provides recommendations for improvement


• May lead functional or segment teams as well as projects


• Motivates and inspires other team members


• Adhere to and enforce standards and requirements


• Participate in managing and prioritizing small to large deployment activities with a variety of teams


• Work with internal teams to define requirements and business processes

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area


• 8 or more years of overall IT experience


• 5 or more years of experience with mainframe which includes: DB2, COBOL, complex SQL, Fileaid, DB2 explain plans, MQ


• 3 or more years of experience in a lead role


• Foundation Frameworks development experience

• Experience with leading development teams both onshore and offshore
