This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Mail Services business unit. This business unit helps customers earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services, doing work the U.S. Post Service would otherwise have to perform. This service spans the globe with international offerings, ranging from mail preparation and fulfillment to courier and freight services.



We are currently seeking a Driver IIIat our Reading, PA Location.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Inspects products to verify conformance to customer and USPS specifications and regulations.

Ensures that the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading on the truck.

Inspects assigned vehicle per the Pitney Bowes pre-trip inspection guidelines

and procedures daily. Reports any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor

to be fixed immediately.

Maintains a daily driver's log for mileage and cargo.

Keeps work area clean by ensuring mail bins are under machines or in APC's (All Purpose Containers),

plastic straps are off of floor to prevent possible tripping hazards, and sweeping

the floors between assigned pickups or deliveries.

Assists in Quality Control or Barcode department between assigned pickups.

Keeps vehicle clean.

Regular attendance

Other duties as assigned.

Qualification


Required Qualifications:



Valid state motor vehicle operator's license in State where driver resides.

(CDL Class B) and meet applicable Department of Transportationrequirements for CDL.

Ability to drive a straight truck.

Ability to read a map and understand directions

Good written and oral communication skills and customer service skills.

Ability to understand and become knowledgeable with USPS regulations andmanaging standards.

Driving experience in 2 of the last 3 years in which a Straight Truck was the principal vehicle of use.
