In this HL7 Integration Engineer position, you will have the opportunity to develop HL7 Interfaces using Integration Engine and other tools; application interface configuration and maintenance, and production support. Responsible for analysis, support and maintenance, of existing or planned HL7 or non HL7 built interfaces and other integration solutions. Provide project support and promotes team environment. Participate in the analysis of complex computer application systems issues and assists in providing appropriate solutions. Prepare detailed design specifications from which application programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug and document those programs.


 


Primary Responsibilities:


 


-Ensure that the development of the interfaces follow the department guidelines


-Perform testing of interfaces, provide technical support for other integration partners, and facilitate problem identification


-Support the go-lives of the bi-directional HL7 interfaces


-Define and implement innovative monitoring processes for HL7 routing engine


-Provide support in troubleshooting issues related to Cloverleaf Secure Courier Client set up


-Work with our development and implementation teams on setting up standard HL7 interfaces


-Stay current with updates, hot fixes being released for HL7 routing engine


 

Requirements

Requirements:


 


-HS diploma/GED required
-5+ years of HL7 integration experience
-5+ years of experience reading, defining, and evaluating HL7, Fixed Record Formats, and XML is necessary
-3+ years of HL7 and XML translations experience
-Must be willing to work in a 24/7 environment


 


Assets:


 


-Cloverleaf integration experience
-Iguana integration experience
-Cloverleaf Level 2 Certification
-Experience with multiple Hospital EMR systems
-Understanding of clinical process flows and be able to effectively determine and document business requirements and technical design
-Relational database experience
-Scripting experience with TCL or Perl
-Experience with HA Windows cluster environments
