Pediatric Operating Room Nurse - (Peds OR RN - Pedi OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $34.00 *
As a top provider of care to children in the Galveston community, this Operating Room (OR) unit prides itself on offering the best in compassionate and comprehensive treatments for its patients. The new RN will be encouraged to utilize his or her experience for providing high level care while working with some of the finest specialists in the area.
The role of the pediatric operating room nurse (Pedi OR RN) is to provide care for patients ranging from neonatal/infancy to young adulthood before, during, and after surgical procedures. Pedi OR nurses are typically either circulating nurses (working within the operating room but outside of the sterile field) or scrub nurses (handling items and tools used in the sterile field as well as making preparations for surgery). Specialties of pediatric OR nurses include craniofacial/plastics; ear, nose, and throat (ENT); neurology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; transplant; trauma; urology; vascular; and general surgery.

Tucked along the Gulf Coast region, Galveston is a hip beach town with plenty to keep you busy when not working. From the eclectic boutiques and galleries to the famed historic neighborhoods, people flock from all over the U.S. to visit the city’s sandy beaches.
