Be a part of Universal Orlando’s amazing entertainment! Entertainment Escorts facilitate performances and promote positive guest experiences through one-on-one interactions with guests and by assisting performers.


Entertainment Escorts at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Facilitating entertainment performances by providing positive service and accurate information to guests and according to Entertainment departmental guidelines and expectations.
  • Assisting and accompanying Entertainment performers to, on, and from assigned sets and is responsible for the safety and physical well being of performers while on set.
  • Assisting in operational/administrative duties which may include daily physical maintenance, refueling, and protection of any assigned vehicles.              
  • Participating in Entertainment performances as directed by Entertainment Management occasionally.
  • Following daily costume care guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of the performance or role and providing communication to management regarding costume problems, issues and concerns.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

       



To perform the role of an Entertainment Escort successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Six months to one year experience in improvisation preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have valid Florida Driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.


The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Entertainment Escort job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly (2/3 or more of time) required to stand, walk, talk or hear. Occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time) required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms.
  • The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Entertainment Escort job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; and outdoor weather conditions; occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), and fumes or airborne particles.
  • While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is: loud noise.
