About this job
We are looking for 6 Contract Desktop Publishers to support a fast-paced proposal project. This contract position will offer great experience and will allow overtime opportunities up to 60-80 working hours per week. Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree
- 6 months of experience in a desktop publishing role with expertise surrounding
- Layout in text and pagination areas, ability to pull in tables and graphics from other software's such as xl's or photo shop and managing the page layout
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
- Adobe InDesign experience preferred
Plus:
- Experience with Editing/Proofreading
- Sharepoint Knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting with layouts and designs, making edits and changes to graphics and tables in a production style environment with strictly enforced deadlines.
-Working with electronic and hardcopy documents and will be responsible for logging files and tracking the documents.
-Check out available electronic/hardcopy documents, perform marked edits, print and verify completed work, and then check in the documents.
Log all files in/out of document tracking system and importation/placement of graphics.
Ensure/apply proper use of styles and set guidelines within document structure.
Maintain proper electronic/hardcopy organization of document throughout editing process.
Must be willing to provide support/documentation in any area required, including those outside of Desktop Publisher role.
