Description
The Senior Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for maximizing client relationships and building brand equity through market intelligence activities with the goal of protecting and enhancing overall revenue. They will assist in creating and leading the development of market intelligence products and services.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with OEM/Dealer/Partner Sales to understand client issues and to further client relationships
  • Attend and participate in client meetings to identify issues, present findings, and contribute to ongoing discussions
  • Assist in and help manage the development of presentations and other materials for delivery to Market Intelligence clients
  • Assist in and help manage the delivery of ad-hoc requests originating from Market Intelligence clients
  • Develop performance reports on site behavior using data from Omniture Discover/Site Catalyst/Data Warehouse
  • Develop new and innovative analyses that will help support clients (i.e.: OEM, Dealer, Partner Sales) revenue goals
  • Seek out and gather information from other areas of the company (e.i.: values trending, ad program analysis, internal web/business analytics) and synthesize with market intelligence information (e.i.: Brand Watch, Web Intelligence) to create comprehensive presentations, reports, and other deliverables to address client issues and other needs
  • Develop synthesized and insightful analyses drawing from market intelligence and other information to enable other departments (Product, Sales) to develop incremental business opportunities
  • Evaluate reporting processes for continued improvement and efficiency of standardized reports
  • Strengthen the relationship with key clients through effective communication and address reporting needs
  • Coordinate and share information and assist with leading the implementation of best practices within the market intelligence department
  • Broaden and improve the market intelligence content and means of accessing and delivering that content through the development and/or evolution of new study methodologies, formats, delivery platforms and environments, and capabilities
  • Serve as the team’s Subject Matter Expert for web-traffic related data pulls and insights
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 5+ years of specialized knowledge and experience in web analytics, survey research, financial analysis, or other analytical fields
  • Proven experience with and ability to:
    • synthesize vast amounts of information and to see the “big picture” story in research findings
    • clearly communicate research findings, implications and recommendations in a concise manner
    • prioritize projects and other activities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and other relevant applications
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Detailed knowledge of the web analytics program (e.g., Omniture) and/or survey tools (e.g., Snap) strongly preferred
  • Automotive industry experience is strongly preferred
