What we are looking for:
Angie's List is looking for a Sales Operations - System Administrator who will be responsible for overseeing one or more products, apps, or processes within the salesforce.com platform supporting the various lines of business.  Will work with project managers, 3rd party vendors, and internal developers during implementation in order to become the subject matter expert and provide ongoing support and direction for projects, apps, and processes on the force.com platform.  Position will maintain and modify apps as needed.  After delivery, interface with end users and other stakeholders to document and suggest enhancements and work with internal associates and vendors to deliver those enhancements.  Work closely with vendors to understand changes being made and additional features being added to products in use so that you can communicate to users and stakeholders as needed.  Examples of products and processes include Salesvue, Work.com, Gainsight, Xactly, Docusign, Background Checks, Hoopla.

What you will do:

  • Work with project manager, vendor, and/or stakeholders during implementation to learn product, app, or process.
  • Owner and subject matter expert on product, app, or process
  • Provide training during rollout
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support (including system configuration and system maintenance) and assist users with proactive best practices to enhance and increase their knowledge of the assigned product, app, or process.
  • Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings etc for users of the specific product, process, or app
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes and the integration between the assigned product, process or app and salesforce.
  • Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations
  • Monitor internal processes for efficiency pre & post product launch/changes.
  • Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc for the assigned product, process, or app
  • Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements to the assigned product, process, or app
  • Research changes in upcoming versions of the assigned product, process, or app and other integrated applications; provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Contribute on the technical side of business projects and create solutions to meet challenges (including performing detailed analysis of technical and business requirements).
  • Successfully document / maintain documentation on assigned product, process or app use and flow, and assist in developing training materials.
  • Provide support for other departmental projects as needed.

What you will need:

  • Must work in the Indianapolis, IN office
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Prior Angie’s List or Salesforce.com admin experience (Certified Salesforce Admin a Plus)
  • Experience in an administrator role delivering solutions to real customer problems, preferably with an emphasis on Sales, Customer Service, and/or Marketing issues.
  • Experience evaluating new salesforce apps and develop plans for their implementation
  • Demonstrated strong performance collaborating with Sales, Support Services and Marketing teams to effectively utilize Salesforce.com.
  • Customer focused, action oriented and committed to driving quality results.
  • Able to quickly learn and adapt to new process and technologies in order to meet business needs and drive business value.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into a technical reality that is extendable and maintainable.
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Experience in project management, operations, or sales a plus
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical individuals at all levels
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and get buy-in for ideas and initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, and the ability to learn cloud based systems quickly.
