Job Purpose

The Content Manager is the overseer of Agency’s content both existing and newly developed. Responsible for all aspects of agency content projects, taking projects from original conception through completion, and a single point of contact for those projects. Partners with agency leadership to maintain a content library that is in-sync with current consumer, shopper, and customer trends, and is synergistic with annual product themes and creative styles. Content ranges from food, recipes, lifestyle articles, and health and wellness taking form across varying categories of multimedia including; photography, video, mobile applications, and social media.

Job Responsibilities

Content Development

Work directly with agency leadership to develop new content and maintain existing high-quality content; assuring it has the proper tone, messaging, and effectiveness to support core and custom product offerings.

Build, maintain, and implement content plans and editorial calendars to support annual product development defining owners and contributors where necessary.

Partner with the Creative Department to develop and maintain understanding of content guidelines (style guides) and policies.

Leverage market data and analytics (in partnership with Agency Insights and Analytics Team) to develop content themes/topics.

Keep abreast of popular culture, marketing trends, industry developments, and competitive activities with the intentions of applying that “insight” to content development.

Maintain regular updates to the agency’s content library, including managing vendor relationships from project start to finish in development of new content.

On occasion, develop, write, and edit content (text, photos, video) from internal sources, vendor partners, and freelance subject matter experts to be used in client deliverables to ensure content is on strategy and in-line with client needs.

Cross-Functional Support

Support agency partners with coordination of deliverables and updates across multiple departments including; Sales, Account Service, Creative, Production, and Fulfillment.

Communicate and interact effectively with agency team members in all departments to deliver timely information and reports.

Job Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business required or equivalent job-related experience.

Experience Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in content marketing a plus, or related field .

Experience in creative database management strongly preferred, preferably in a publishing, advertising, marketing or related field.

Skills & Competencies

Must have a broad knowledge of the industry and working understanding of content marketing as a discipline.

Detail-oriented with excellent project management skills.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

Passion and experience in culinary arts is highly preferred.

Proficiency in database management, preferably in a publishing, advertising, marketing or related field.

Self-starter who is able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Strong organization and problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Superior attention to detail.
