About this job

The Technical Account Specialist provides sales and technical support to our customers. They coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle from new machine orders, spare parts quotes and order fulfillment. The Technical Account Specialist also advises clients on the most appropriate equipment for their specific needs, handling inquiries about equipment functions and benefits, pricing, and available warranties.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing detailed technical quotations
- Preparing written responses to sales representatives’ technical questions
- Reconciling orders for parts
- Finalizing and garnering approvals for new equipment
- Initiating return materials authorization (RMA)
- Communicating suggestions for improvement
- Submitting expenses and reports using the established procedures
- Growing existing customer accounts and maintaining relationships
- Providing technical assistance to clients, as required
- Maintaining a professional appearance, courteous demeanor and positive attitude
- Must interface effectively and regularly with, financial and non-financial employees, both domestic and international Sales, Engineering and lab personnel, vendors, customers and channel partners.

- 3 years of experience working in a similar capacity and environment
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications.
- Experience interacting clearly and confidently with all levels in the organization and with external sales representatives, customers, vendors, and others as required.
- Experience demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience using AutoCAD software
- Experience using Visual Manufacturing or a similar ERP systems
