Postpartum Nurse - Postpartum RN - (PP RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N
The elite team members of this Postpartum unit are seeking a like-minded, compassionate RN to join their ranks. With a care-giving model based on optimal patient outcomes, the ideal candidate will bring experience, innovation and passion to their role. If you are a compassionate and experienced RN, ready to join a caring staff within beautiful surroundings, this is the role for you!
Postpartum nurses are responsible for caring for both moms and their newborns after delivery. The postpartum care nurse plays a crucial role in the hours following delivery, monitoring mothers and helping to ensure proper recovery. Postpartum RNs must recognize postpartum depression and teach new moms how to address emotions, while also acting as a teacher for the new parents and usually giving instructions on how to care, bathe, breastfeed and/or bottle-feed the newborn and monitor his or her health.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical work experience as an Antenatal and Mother/Baby Nurse required. NRS, ACLS, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certificates required.
Facility Location
A neighborhood in Boston proper, Brighton was annexed to the larger city in the late 1800s. The beautiful Charles River separates Brighton from Cambridge and offers many scenic views as well as fishing and swimming options. Brighton boasts much in the way of historical architecture and culture seekers are advised to check out picturesque Commonwealth Avenue.
